57 - Lost Boys Visit Morocco

Jacket - Catherine Malandrino, Skirt - Vintage from Yoshi Now! in Fresno CA, Top - Native, Bag - Vintage, Shoes - Jeffrey Campbell, Sunglasses - Knock-Off RayBans from Santee Alley in LA CA, Belt - Vintage, Jewelry - Mostly Konstantino

I always feel like I'm totally copping out when I wear a long skirt with a leather jacket. That's such an easy outfit for me because I own about 35 floor-length skirts and I am bonded to this jacket. When I woke up this morning, though, at my customarily and freakishly early scheduled time of 6 AM, it was gray and really rather abysmal outside, and I knew this chunky knit skirt was going to be cozy and perfect. Then, the weather remembered where it was (you do not mess with Los Angeles' sunshine), and the sun came out, and these mega rad mint/lime sunglasses had a chance to make their debut, and it was all really rather splendid aesthetically in my opinion.

My last post was super "talky-talky", so I'm not going to say much today except for this:

TOMORROW I AM POSTING AN AFKHGSJK AMAZING GIVEAWAY, AND YOU WILL FLIP YO' LID FOR IT.

So, you know, if you aren't following me via Google friend connect or via Bloglovin', now might be a good time to start...just sayin'.

What is your go-to outfit on days when you really can't be bothered to get creative?

  3. my cop out outfit would be black tights, a mini skirt an oversized top/sweater with layered jackets and boots. pretty basic but it works since i have to dress for work and school at 6 a.m. 6 days a week.

that skirt is awesome on so many levels. your hair is up but it has been looking a lot longer.

  5. Love the skirt. I'd definitely say cut-off shorts or harem pants and a loose fitting tee, cropped or not, is my lazy-wear.

  7. dude, you have the best jaw line of all time. looking at that profile picture of you just made me feel like i was in sketching class drawing the head of a croqui, all bone-structured out. not that i can actually draw or anything. i actually meant to say "tracing" the head of a croqui.

  10. That skirt is amazing, it looks very cosy.
My go-to lazy day outfit is a pair of skinny jeans and an oversize, ancient t-shirt, with my leather jacket if I'm planning on braving the outside world.

  17. You look so gorgeous in that shot of your face! Also, the skirt really is awesome.

Oh, and you should totally come hang out and be very blonde and very not blonde with us. We could go around confronting loud teens in movie theaters using our own special talents (i.e. sarcasm, death stares, temper losing, outright conniption fit having). Like a public service. Or something.

  18. Good god, this outfit is blazin´ .. This knit skirt and leather jacket is something that is very suitable for rather chilly Icelandic spring/summer time..

  19. (Wow, third time I'm typing up this comment. I don't know why I don't CTRL A+C as religiously as my fiancee does when she types things up online.)

I've been wearing my leather jackets all the time now. I have both a black one and a greyish one, and I grab either one blindly when I walk out the door to throw on with whatever I'm wearing. Like today, I wore the latter one with my maxi dress, which I was already wearing a vest with. My fiancee thinks I'm insane.

I really love your use of maxi skirts with plain tops. They look like they're just there to accent whatever else you're wearing, but they never look plain. I love how they hang on you, as well; kinda loose but not baggy or anything. I don't know, it's a nice look.

I'm really excited for this giveaway, and I'm glad you're announcing it on a day I don't work. Now I can just have Blogger open and F5 every half hour. (Hope I don't miss anything if you announce it later on in the day, though. I'll be out at a graduation ceremony.)

  22. You look amazing!! Can't wait to see what the give away is.. I love your skirt so very much. My go to outfit would probably be black denim high waist shorts, with my studded belt, and some top.. and tights under the shorts because it is still hella cold >.< but I keep trying to signify that Spring is coming by wearing shorts.. hah! Hope you have an awesome weekend!!
