Shirt - Vintage, Shorts - Vintage Jeans Cut-Off, Shoes - Jeffrey Campbell, Headscarf - Mom's, Jewelry - Allover
Brit took these pictures for me in Wonder Valley, which is near Squaw Valley on the outskirts of our hometown, Fresno. We were in Squaw Valley picking up all sorts of amazing jewelry for our upcoming store! You guys are gonna love it -- I promise. Brit wore some of it in her most recent post. Don't you like how she and I take blog pictures on the same day, but I'm such a horrible blogger than mine go up three days later? Also, my hair was a giant tie-dyed frizz ball that day. It was like a fluffy version of my shirt.
Did you guys scope the two new ads in my sidebar? I am majorly stoked to tell you guys about Telltale Hearts. You've probably heard about them before -- they are major babes and Brit and I gush about them all the time (they are even sponsoring a giveaway on Brit's blog right now!). Anyway, I recommend checking out their online shop. They have a great assortment of vintage and new, and you know I love to endorse women-owned small businesses. Here are some things I am loving from their store right now:
Recognize anyone? That would be Marie of The Maven Post, Britney of Disarming Darling (duh), and Sarah Whitney of Pandor's Box.
My other new ad over there is from Sunglasses Shop. They ship worldwide and have free UK next-day delivery. For your consideration:
BOOM. Okay, okay, almost done, I swear. Last but not least...
Also, they did a really fun interview with the nominees! It was a "finish this sentence" kinda thing, and it is pretty interesting.

love the look and love those shoes. goodluck with the chictopia award :)

I also really like your JC gypsy platform clogs.. The scarf in your hair is awesome. I love the colors in your hair. They are gorgeous. I really hope you win the chictopia thing. That would be SO rad. I cant wait for your and brit's store. YAY
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I adore your outfit and your hair.
ReplyDeleteSecond, I had no idea you're from Fresno! I been living there for like 14 years. :]
I'm loving your hair, even if you said it was a frizz ball when you took the pictures! It still looks amazing (soo jealous). Can't wait for your store to go up, and the jewelry at Telltale Hearts is beyond amazing.

Well, I love it! I wish my hair were long enough to play with. Buzzing it off was exhilarating and it's nice not having to wait for it to dry after showing or dealing with bad hair days, but all the same I'm starting to get a little restless and dismal waiting for new growth.
ReplyDeleteHave a good one!
cool look - love that headscarf. makes the look

So do the companys you advertise for pay you? Is that your main source of income?
ReplyDeleteIt depends! I try not to charge small women-owned businesses (like Telltale -- I just love those gals!). I have a full-time job working for a jewelry company which is my primary source of income.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog! It would be fantastic if you could do a makeup tutorial, I've been trying to do my eyeliner like yours, but it just never works out.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was cute that you mentioned you looked like a frizz ball, it does have some awesome volume here ! but Ive gotta say, what you did to the color is pretty rad, very daring and unusual. The outfit is lovely boho chic as always. I love these sunny shots ! so dreamy.
ReplyDeleteOh MAN... I love your shirt. I love geeky nature shirts, especially if they involve Orca's.
ReplyDeletegood luck with the chictopia award!
Just read your interview on chictopia and am so glad I voted for you!
