114 - A Day of Self-Parody

Dress - Twitch Vintage (purchased, not a gift! go buy something from her!), Flannel - Vintage (stolen from a friend), Boots - Vintage, Bag - Army Surplus, Jewelry - All over the place

I was wearing this outfit and Smashing Pumpkins came on the radio and I thought, "Really? Now I'm just like a total parody of myself."

Anyway, I hate to post photos and run, but Brit and I are going to an early morning fun thing here in LA. A store calle Jet Rag does $1 Sunday sales, and if you get there early enough, you get first pick. Everything there is $1! Talk about rad. I don't have much time to write something witty or insightful, but if you are looking for some Sunday reading, I recommend checking out the first essay I ever wrote on my blog. New readers may not have seen it before. It's basically about how and why I fell in love with fashion.

    I seriously love your style. I started following you a few months back through Jessica at VintageVirgin and I think my boyfriend was intrigued by you too after seeing you over my shoulder so often. I told him your name and he wrote it on our fridge dry-erase board (creepy?!) I guess he just liked your name. I'm trying to get more in touch with how to express myself through fashion since I live a boring life and wear scrubs for work. You're definitely inspirational!

    I just went to the $1 sale at Jet Rag with my boyfriend! Got myself a few things but you have to REALLY scavenge!!!!!! It's such a thrill! Love this entire ensemble. Total babe.
