Dress - c/o Miracle Eye, Flannel - thrifted, Boots - vintage from eBay
I actually shot two looks with this dress -- one when it was a bit chillier out and I had to commandeer my boyfriend's black denim motorcycle jacket -- so you'll see a little bit more of it in the future. The dress is from an online store called Miracle Eye, featuring designs done by Larissa, the raddest 15-year old I've ever met. I highly recommend visiting her shop. You'll fall in love with everything, and it's all super-affordable. Her store's got velvet leggings, floral velvet bell-bottoms (remember I said I wanted those?!), high-low fishtail skirts, etc.
I am constantly blown away by how many amazing teenage girls are doing amazing things, from Ann He's stellar fashion photography to Tavi Gevinson's blog and online Rookie Mag to ladies like Larissa just starting their own clothing line and online store. It really is amazing to be inspired by girls ten years my junior. It's great motivation to create the life you want and love what you do.

the dress is so stunning!

ReplyDeleteEach fall I go through a velvet obsession, and now it involves velvet skater and babydoll dresses. The rich color and texture of your dress are so perfect for fall. I'm gonna have a look at Miracle Eye.
ReplyDeleteThat dress was made all the more beautiful by the inspiring backstory - definitely checking out Miracle Eye.
ReplyDeletecute dress!
ReplyDeleteI just want to say: I LOVE YOUR STYLE!!! I`m sooo glad to have found your blog!! And I wouldn`t lie when I say that you are my MAIN inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI love how playful you handle fashion and mix different styles so naturally and carelessly!! You dare all what crosses your mind because you think: come on, we have nothing to lose, we can only win! :-)
That`s the attitude which impresses me.
And I also read your textes although I don`t know english so well :-)
About this look: I love velvet! And I love burgundy. So I love this look twice :-)

You look so gorgeous in that second shot! & I am in love with this outfittt. Velvet ANYTHING makes me so happy. Totally with you on the being inspired by young girls doing amazingggg things! Being involved in blogging has opened me up to so many creative girls and women (such as yourself!) who really push me to continue to be creative and to keep pursuing what I love & what inspires me. I think nowadays, people are too often putting aside their passions for what they think they 'should' do, or what's expected of them. And then there are the few who don't. I love that you're all about supporting women going after their entrepreneurial dreams. girl powaaaaa all the way
