125 - My favorite post I've done in a long time!

This is my favorite post in a while! This is just one of those outfits in which I pretty much live. Brit once said that she doesn't feel like herself unless she's in a ripped-up tee shirt. That really resonated with me. I really feel like myself in this, I guess. Also, I've been wanting to take pictures out on our fire escape for a while, and this was the first time we actually did it. You can't even see how awesome the view really is!

Also, I know a lot of LA blogging ladies have been getting some flak lately for our bootie shorts. What can I tell ya? It's 100 degrees 'round these parts. I don't even have air conditioning in my car or my house. Yeah, I live in a pile of sweat, pretty much. Dudes just walk around shirtless all the time. If only we had the same luxury! Let me tell you, it has taken me a long time to be okay with my body, so nobody is going to stop me from wearing anything I please to beat the heat.
Sorry that I don't hate my body enough to wear weather-inappropriate clothing in an effort to conceal it. Maybe you should try shaming girls into modesty by pointing out the unsightly horrors of actual uncovered skin? Oh wait, mainstream media already has that angle covered.

EDIT: Can we all agree that I just made a pretty sick burn?
EDIT EDIT: If I go long enough without dying my roots, maybe my hair will eventually start to look dip-dyed.

    It's not just LA that's been experiencing the hot weather! The Bay has been in the 80's for the past week. I haven't even thought about breaking out my long pants for a very long time. Love your outfit! The belt is hella sweet. And look rad with your shorts and cut up tshirt

    In regards to your latter part, it simply sounds like some people are feeling pretty insecure and in response, want to tear others down with them. If we condoned more confidence in the variations of women's body types, people wouldn't have to get so defensive and/or aggressive about the subject. :\

    You look freaking amazing in shorts, anyway -- and this outfit especially. I kind of envy your thin legs; mine are wide in the thigh area (due to muscle, sure, but it looks funny, proportionately).

    Also, I really adore your tattoos. I know you have said before that you're not fond of them, but you look just so casually badass in photos where they're visible. They make me anxious to get some of my own. ♥

    Unrelated, but it's kind of weird that you posted 'Hot for Teacher', after Etsy sent out an email today titled 'Hot for Autumn'.

    not dying your hair for so long to the point where it looks dip dyed is where it's at. I did it last year & then ombre was mega trendy & everyone was like all "LOVE YOUR OMBRE HAIR" & I was all "what? ombre? no I just haven't dy-- OH! ombre! pshh yeah I'm so effing trendy!" ..it was a total hit. & I didn't spend money on dying my hair in a year & a half.

    Your fire escape sure makes for one great photo op location. I shall quietly drool over the lovely view you've got. It's definitely irritating why people think they need to pollute the air with their opinions of others attire. Its like they say, opinions are like assholes, everyone's got one. You're looking stunning by the way, you always have that effortless cool chic, and those booties are meeoow !

    aahhh!! i love i love!! that shirt is killer, i want it should you ever be insane enough to give it up! and i love the hair, even though the dye is gone (i seriously wanted your hair so badly like that)! is my excitement coming across in text?? maybe more exclamation points??!!!

    oh, and screw what everyone says, no one is ever satisfied. if you were covered up, they'd call you a prude as well. i wear booty shorts too, cellulite 'n all...two kids didn't bless me with a model's body like it does in the media somehow. besides, if some 300lb woman can go to walmart in a tube top, gnarly bleach job and a playboy tattoo, then by god what else is left? and i feel for you with no ac- might as well kill me if i had to live w/o air cond.

    ok, did i take enough commenting room yet? feel free to block my comments should they be too obnoxious...late night coca colas do not make my brain any smarter i have so found.

    a girl after my own heart this is how I feel most comfortable too but sadly the UK weather this time of year means I have to wear tights with cut offs now or just ditch them altogether :(
