154 - A Spring in my Step (SEE WHAT I DID THERE)

Hat - c/o Romwe, Croptop - Melrose Trading Post flea market, Shorts - c/o Gigi Vintage, Belt - boyfriend's, Shoes - Wholesaledress.net, Jewelry - mostly vintage or flea market (that multi-stone bracelet was a holiday gift from Brit!), Bag - vintage

Holy moly, isn't this outfit so spring-y? I've been doing this thing lately where I alternate between dressing grungy and dressing kinda...erm...boho-y? It's the best way to appease my two favorite styles, and it's the easiest way to be a poser two times over. The only things that stay consistent between the two looks are my denim shorts and my platform shoes, because my legs will always be short and both will always make me feel as though I look a bit taller. Sidenote: seriously, why do I feel like I need to look taller? It's such a strange stupid pressure to put on myself....

To satisfy all of your bohemian urges, try lusting over the jewelry on this Etsy store. My first reaction is that I want to put my mouth on all of it...you know, to claim it. "It's mine; I licked it and everything."

  19. yes, this is a very 'spring-y' outfit indeed haha. I don't know about the pressure of being taller, I feel it too. I'm only like 5'0 and I can not wear flats. I just feel too short and stumpy :(

  23. That store is absolutely incredible... I want all of it. Something about wearing big fat stones makes me feel super awesome. Always love your denim shorts - you pick the perfect ones, and your idea that shorts should never cost more than $10 or something is so true and definitely the wake-up call I needed. Lusting for your shoes, they're the perfect amount of clean lines for this outfit.

  25. You look absolutely ethereal Madeline ! That LA sun is sure keeping you warm, over here in SF its still pretty icy :( Im loving that sterling cuff on your right wrist and the one Brit gave you, she sure has a great eye for gifts. You've got such a sweet figure too, that belly ring is just adorable.... And I think thats the only way I would be able to afford such jaw-dropping jewelry you mentioned via Etsy, is if I accidentally fell mouth straight onto one of these pieces or perhaps spit on one from afar. Ya think the owner would be like "uh, gross, yea take 'er home !" Gorgeous gems indeed.
